Chapter 27: Show and Tell (Part 2)

One became two. Ana's eyes moved left and right to spot the difference between Black and White. There was none.

"One plus one equals two...is not the case for me. Having two bodies increases my combat prowess and overall utility many times over. Teleportation, memory erasure, healin-"

"That's creepy, stop it," Ana couldn't help but interject. Xyn was speaking with both his vessels at once. It reminded her of Drazal's overlapping voices.

Both Xyns smiled. "Very well," said Black. He took a step forward. "I call my duplication ability Monochrome. There are a few terms to remember. When I'm one entity, I am Grey. When I split, I become Black and White. Importantly, White is always the one who is summoned. I can materialise a duplicate within roughly three hundred metres of myself. The only exceptions are magically dense materials or Soul Shrouds."

Ana nodded; his words aligned with her expectations.

"Monochrome is a duplication ability, not a cloning one. I'm not splitting, I'm multiplying by two, at least when it comes to my mana output. My two selves share a mana pool, unfortunately."

"Is there a possibility of one going rogue?" Ana asked, rubbing her chin.

"No. I am two, but always one. Both are me. Independent thought is impossible."

  "Hm, I see."

"As you can see, Black and White are identical. This doesn't have to be the case, as you’ve seen earlier. I have options. I can summon an exact duplicate, as I have, or I can summon a saved form."

The white-haired and white-eyed Xyn made a return following the words.

"I have a long list of saved forms. The more useful ones get a name."

Xyn showcased his named collection and explained the form's appeal or function one by one.

"Amazing and creepy. More. You must have others, right?"

Xyn couldn't say no to her lit-up face. He obliged her request with a smile. He had a large collection of saved forms that he had never had the opportunity to show off to anyone.

The eldritch horrors fascinated her, but it was the final entry that enraptured her most of all. It lacked the vibrancy and alienness of the other forms, yet it stood out like a sore thumb by comparison.

Ana was on her feet and approaching Xyn. An odd expression warped her face as she stared at White. He was a he no longer. Instead, a beautiful female occupied the space that the Void Prince had, a Void Princess, if you will.

Darkness made up her eyes and hair, which waterfalled down her exquisite face. The female Xyn was a buxom beauty; the dress of Vanta barely enough to rein in all her curves and mounds.

"Unexpected and expected," Ana murmured as she stalked forward. Her eyes never left White as she asked, "You made this before you met me, right?"

"Long before," Black, the male Xyn, said, confused by the question.

Ana's lips quirked up. White's proportions were pretty much identical to her own. "So, these are your tastes, then?" she voiced the rhetorical question.

Xyn caught onto what she was implying and shook his head, only to shake his head again. "You misunderstand. This form is a result of artificial intelligence's genetic map. Running an advanced simulation, it came up with what I would most likely look like were I female, which is this. This form came about as a curiosity, not whatever you're thinking," he said, his words racing from his lips.

Ana stopped dead in her tracks. "Whatever I'm thinking, you say? Are you a mind reader?"

"No, but your thoughts are painted thick on your face. If you think I do perverted things with this form, then you're totally wrong."

  "You don't!?"

  "Of course not."

  "Impossible," Ana said adamantly.

"Not. Look," Xyn had the Truth Stone light up. "I've never had sex or done a sex act with my female form."

The Sun Maiden's eyes widened to their limits at the blue light. "Impossible. That doesn't even make sense. I'd sooner believe the demons were the good guys all along." As Ana was struggling to process the reality, Xyn's earlier words struck her. "That's it!"

Her fist slammed her palm as the connection was made. "Memory erasure. You mentioned that you could do it. Yes, yes, it makes sense now,” she chuckled as she theory crafted. “Unable to bear the shame of doing something so perverted, you must have erased the memory. The memories."

"No, there's no way I..." Xyn trailed off as his logic did. He looked at his female form, and his thoughts spun. What was so weird about her claim? Frankly, the longer he stared, the more convinced he was that Ana was right. The implication caused his face to redden at a rapid rate.

"No, it can't be," he said, not convincing anyone.

Ana giggled. "No shame. Anyone would do the same. Especially to one as fine as this. You've outdone yourself. You’ve done yourself, almost certainly." The Sun Maiden's eyes narrowed with a predatory light as she closed the distance to White. Her hand moved to inspect Xyn's creation...only to grab air. Her face fell as a never-before-felt level of disappointment struck her.

"Why? Bring her back," she implored, snapping her body towards Grey.

"To get molested, no way. Now that's an experience I'd have to erase - not that I buy into your memory erasure theory."

"Memory erasure fact," Ana said, unyielding. "I just wanted to see how realistic the body is, that's all."

  "Yeah, right."

  The Sun Maiden pouted.

Fuck, that's cute. Xyn couldn't help but be swayed. He sighed. "Fine." His female form made a reappearance, summoned atop a bed of Vanta. Wrapped in a white duvet, it lay unmoving with its eyes shut.

Ana's eyes sparkled with equal parts delight and intrigue as she took in the body. "This is..."

"The best you're getting. Do what you wish to it, beyond my senses. Hurry and store it away. It'll keep warm for a few minutes at most."

The Sun Maiden took Xyn's advice, and the body vanished. "...Thanks," she said hesitantly, feeling like she was trending on questionable grounds.

  "Don't mention it, ever."

Ana nodded. "So you can summon soulless copies of yourself or saved states."

"Not just that. While Grey, I can summon any part of my saved forms." Xyn's upward-facing palm welcomed a skull, his. He looked at it as though a poet. "From the big stuff like limbs and organs to the very building blocks that make up the human body, the cells. I can materialise at will. These raw materials can be summoned as is or become ingredients in a recipe I devise. They can be shaped, combined or altered by my mind before they are conjured to create the desired outcome. I've spent a great deal playing with the combinations."

Xyn snapped the fingers of his free hand, and his skull was replaced by a bone sculpture of Ana.

The Sun Maiden didn't need an invitation. She closed the distance in a heartbeat to better behold the sculpture.

Xyn rewarded her enthusiasm. "A gift."

She gladly took the bone construct. "This is amazing. So detailed. One to one - ah, no, I spoke too soon," Ana said, examining the underside of the figure. "My underwear is way sexier than this."

Xyn recoiled at the comment, to which Ana showed a smirk. "You're too easy, Void Prince. Or maybe too hard? Ahaha."

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

The young man took his latest loss with as much grace as he could. He told himself that revenge would be sweet. "Where was I? Yes, biocrafting. Useful ability. A life-saver, literally. I had to perform surgeries for a handful of unfortunates in Alfein."

"A destroyer, a creator, a healer...you wear many hats, Xyn."

He shrugged. "I have more heads than most."

"True," Ana said, eyeing the freshly summoned White in the distance.

Black conjured a bone dagger and tossed it up. It completed one revolution before vanishing. Its disappearance was too brief for a mundane to notice. Ana's senses weren't fooled, and she watched as the object was translocated between Black and White. The speed of the exchange made it appear like there were two daggers.

"Transference. I can teleport things from Black's Soul Shroud to White's and vice versa. Not just objects." Black let the dagger fall to the ground as he turned to Ana. "Want to ride the Void? I'm told it's fun."

Ana fanned her pearly whites at the phrasing. "Sure, but it's my first time."

"Don't worry. I'll be gentle." Black extended his Soul Shroud to engulf Ana whole. "Retract your aura."

Xyn would have understood if she said no, so Ana's immediate extinguishing of her mana came as a surprise. She was defenceless, at his mercy. Of course, killing her would doom him as well, but her action was nevertheless a great showing of trust.

  "Ready?"

  Ana nodded, unworried.

Xyn did a countdown from three. At zero, he translocated the golden-haired beauty.

  "Ah..."

From staring at his crotch one moment to uneven grass the next, Ana's world shattered and was replaced by pure chaos. Disorientation struck her and left her unable to tell up from down and left from right. Her incredible perception was a double-edged sword and was currently cutting into her, inducing an effect like vertigo and only many orders of magnitude worse.

The Flame Elementalist lost her balance and toppled backwards. Her rump was destined to crack earth, but Xyn altered fate with a scrambled reaction.

Translocating her had netted him a hefty disorientation. Where Monda was a feather, Ana was a mountain, a weighty existence. Not expecting to bear this burden, his consciousness frayed, leading to a less-than-ideal intervention. Then again, perhaps, the position they found themselves in was perfect.

Ana cleared away her confusion with a few rapid blinks before registering her position. She was on Xyn's lap, treating him like a chair. He had barely gotten under her in time. The Sun Maiden acknowledged their proximity but made no efforts to separate. Below yet on cloud nine, Xyn too had no plans of escape or any desire to shatter the flesh rope he had tied around her navel.

Ana's head was nuzzled beside his right ear. The position gave him a full view of her glorious cleavage. As if that was not devastating enough, her rear was pressed right against his crotch. The golden-haired beauty's warmth and plump softness easily bypassed the few layers of fabric on her person to reach him.

The combination all but short-circuited the young man. Following the initial blank, a flame of lust engulfed Xyn. An emergency transference was executed to prevent him from impaling his fellow transmigrator. The action stifled an erection but not his libido, which was a phoenix, born anew within the flames of lust which continued to rage.

Ana was no less affected. The Flame Elementalist had no resistance to this type of heat and burned up no differently than Xyn. Worse, even, as unlike him, she had no means to smother it.

Smouldering in their lust, neither could form concrete thoughts, let alone words. Silence reigned for nearly half a minute before the Sun Maiden's breathy voice shattered it.

"Do you have more to show? Or tell, Void Prince- no, Void Chairperson?"

Xyn was happy to accept the title change if he could maintain his role. "A bit more. More tell than show."

  "Umm, go ahead."

Xyn took a breath and put a lid on the mouth of the active volcano that was his libido before delving into some particulars of his abilities. Memory erasure was brought up by Ana. He explained how it worked after going over the topic of soul destruction and recovery.

He concluded the accounting of his magical capabilities shortly after. Next, he showcased his magical tools. There were a few to mention.

"This is Ignis Collar?" Ana guessed, seeing the golden band floating before her.

"What's left of it," Xyn answered. "I destroyed the enchantment, so you can wear it without concern. Around your neck or even as a wristband. It matches your aesthetic, being gold and all. More importantly, it's super sturdy."

White tapped the golden metal with his finger.

"The band is Orikulum, a Stranger-enchanted metal that has no equal in toughness. Even just as is, it can tank several Void Cuts before breaking. Here. Keep it as a backup shield."

Ana accepted it and stored it away. "Another gift."

"It is not," Xyn quickly followed up. "It was meant to be yours in the first place, after all."

"Doesn't change my feelings. I've received much and given little to nothing."

"Hm, I don't feel that way. The opposite, in fact," Xyn said gently but firmly as he tightened his grip around her body a tad. "To me, you're the one who's been overly generous. I've no clue how I'm going to pay back my debt."

Ana didn't argue the point. Their feelings were their own. Instead, she directed her thoughts to his personal space. "Nothing more in that black pouch of yours?"

"That could be useful in combat, no. Though Void Vault itself can be used as a weapon. Think Blade Storm, only with a bigger range, several hundred metres. In short, a spatial bomb. There were plenty of explosions during Void Vault's creation. It's dangerous, to any foe and also to myself, so I treat it as a last resort, a final fuck you, should I believe I'm doomed and want to drag everything around me to hell."

"Mm, so the same as me."

  "Pretty much."

  "Anything more?"

White summoned a Truth Stone, but before he could illuminate it, Ana flicked it out of his hand.

The Void Prince watched the marble roll on the uneven dirt. White returned his hand to Ana's waist and reformed the seatbelt.

"Anything more?" the golden-haired beauty repeated.

"Nope. That's all. That's my magical capabilities from A to Z."

"I see. Thanks for the presentation. It was enlightening. I was confident before, but now I'm certain that you'll be able to travel the same path as me. Side by side. We're more or less equal."

  "More or less?"

"Yeah, I'm stronger," she said with no arrogance, just stating a fact. "Defence is your downfall. Your patches of Endera can't defend against splash attacks, which I can do all day. You're too squishy."

  "Says you."

Ana giggled. "Yeah, but I'm the good kind, don't you agree?"

"...I won't deny that. Nor your assessment. The pecking order is clear: me below you. I don't mind that, for now."

The Sun Maiden's smile widened. Playful thoughts were encouraged, and an idea struck her. Her eyes flashed with a wicked light, and Black before her suffered for it.

Golden flames burst into existence, and not a blink later, the duplicate was reduced to ashes.

"Ah, Ana?" Grey voiced in bafflement. Proving a point? He ran with the line of thought in the absence of a reply. Monochrome was activated, and another White appeared nearby, only to immediately be devoured by golden flames.

Xyn tilted his head at the happening, inadvertently tapping Ana's cheek. She remained silent. He split himself again, materialising White on the edge of his range. This didn't help. Ana's range was beyond his and her flames once they flash-fried the duplicate.

  "But why?"

He asked the question, but the answer became obvious to him mere seconds later. Without another to transfer body fluids to, Xyn lost his heat resistance. The flame of lust devoured him and spurred an immediate biological reaction.

An impalement didn't follow, but the rise was meteoric nonetheless. Fully erect in a few blinks, his lower member was snug between her ass cheeks.

"Ah," the utterance left both transmigrators' lips.

Even having expected it, Ana found herself overwhelmed by the situation she brought upon herself. It was more than she bargained for.

  Is this fine?!

Xyn questioned as his thoughts and emotions divulged were pure chaos. He didn't linger on this line of thought for more than a second. Rationality took a backseat as desire grabbed the metaphoric wheel.

Her actions couldn't be interpreted as anything other than an invitation. Even now, she was practically squirming in his lap. He had her implicit consent, and that's all that mattered.

The young man ceased thinking with one head and thought with another. There was no concrete plan of action, nor did he map out the steps he'd need to take to reach the finish line. No, he'd do as he wished, and at that moment, he wanted nothing more than to rub his manhood against Ana's rump.

Cradling her tighter, his hips moved. The sensation was electric by itself, but the whispered moan that tickled his ear had him black out briefly. Coming to, he continued, taking Ana's voice as encouragement. Up and down, he slid, each subsequent thrust becoming more pronounced, daring, unashamed. At the same time, Ana grew louder, her sultry voice bouncing off distant trees.

Fuck, fuck, fuck this feels so goo- ah?

  A roar rang out.

It tore through the air and also the private world that had been created between the teenagers. Xyn stopped mid-thrust as the soundwaves reverberated through his body.

Where the roar stilled him, it did the opposite to Ana. As if coming to her senses and remembering her duty, the Sun Maiden bolted up and away, literally, employing her swiftness Charm to separate from the Void Prince. Further telling is what she did after coming to a stop. Her sundress was replaced by her battle attire.

The interrupter/cockblocker drew Xyn's attention with a subsequent noise. If looks could kill, the Void Prince's would. The horn of the Electro Wolf shone, readying a beam of plasma. Nothing came out of it, though. Ana cut any ejaculation short with a fiery stare. The monster burst into all-consuming flames.

Xyn blinked away its existence and returned its gaze to Ana, only seven metres away. He stared at her backside anew. Instead of lust, it was confusion, anxiety and fear that now plagued him as he took in his fellow transmigrator. Had he messed up? A never-before dread ate at him at the possibility.

Ana stood silent and still, like a statue, unreadable to the young man behind her.

"I'm...the monsters," Ana's voice was soft and hesitant, as though shameful. "I'll clear out the area. Alone. I might be a while. Wait for me, okay?"

Still on the ground, Xyn didn't know up from down at that moment. His lips moved despite his rocky emotions. "Stay safe out there."

  "Will do."

Saying the words under her breath, Ana took off like a rocket. A long, flaming tail was left in her wake as she disappeared beyond the horizon, the golden streak contrasting the navy background.

Xyn watched her leave with a blank face, and this expression remained plastered on his face for a good while. His internal world was no different from the surrounding environment: a mess. Perhaps even beyond recovery. It took nearly a minute before concrete thoughts once again populated his head.

What happened? And what was going to happen next?

The questions were asked, but satisfactory answers didn't present themselves. Instead, a host of troubling realities and emotions came flooding into his mind. For several minutes on end, the Void Prince squirmed atop the dirt and grass, tortured by mental images of possible futures.

I screwed up. Dammit, why did I do that...fuck, I'm so stupid!

Logic was scarce as he writhed. Eventually, he rose out of his rut. There were only so many paths forward from this point on. His mind had replayed each one dozens of times to the point of incredulity. Feelings of dread remained, but it didn't paralyse him. Getting to his feet, the Void Prince embraced a dark resolve.

  Whatever comes, comes.
