"My soldiers, we are in a dire moment. Our motherland needs us alive, not dead. So, let us first find safety and return to our motherland at a later day, alive and well." With few more words, Sedric commanded his group to follow Melavan's guide, and the whole group gathered and proceeded on a path Melavan led according to his memory. Stuck among this group was Joshua, who at the moment absentmindedly gazed into the space in front of him.

?It was a mission assigned to him. Joshua read the words shown by the light, and his gaze slightly landed on Sedric.
?At the moment, Sedric was leading the group alongside Melavan as they defended and marched against the incoming horde of beasts.
?Joshua's gaze only stayed on him for a slight moment before turning away. The light panel dispersed from his eyes as his interest was lost upon it. Although he believed the things told by the light to be the truth, he wasn't willing to submit to it, even more so to do something that he was told to do by a figure that was completely unknown to him with a wicked name.
?Thus, he ignored it. Although fulfilling it would grant him a reward, Joshua judged the outcome of this mission would be a terrible one that he would regret. He also guessed that the craziness of the Death Galloper was caused by the effect he had on him by his newfound powers.
?After his dismissal of the light panel, Joshua joined in with the other soldiers to defend against the beasts.
?As they marched forward toward the direction where Melavan guided them to be the nearby village, more and more beasts met them on their way.
Some were monkeys with four hands and large tails, able to strike with the strength to crush rocks with ease. A giant centipede with spinning limbs at its every leg, thousands of razor-sharp blades spin at high speeds, was equipped within it.
?Wherever it moved, a clear and sharp sound echoed, and soldiers took notice of the beast the moment it arrived in the field. Despite their notice, a few soldiers were shred to pieces in an instance by the centipede's deadly spinners. And other soldiers were nearly able to avoid it.

?Their newfound powers showed their best effect at these moments. Those soldiers that received the class name Pack Berserker worked best in groups than others; like a group of hyenas in the wild, they jumped at a giant pig with dark skin, slicing its skin in numerous places in a matter of seconds.
?Sword Shielders wielded their swords as their only weapons, both attacking and defending using them.
?An archer that received a class name Parallel Shooter realized his ability to make one of his arrows turn into two through the mid-air. A few men that received the Stomper class realized that their legs had increased in strength and durability, enabling them to stomp into the ground with enough force to create cracks upon it.
?There are those with similar classes to Joshua, who had an increase in their speed after receiving their class; but, of course, their speed was not comparable to him. And the class is not the exact one he received; named Sprinter, these soldiers are the ones that battled against the wolves with the advantage of their speed.
?Melavan moved with swift and precise movements, locating the eye of the turtle-like beast that turned its skin into a hard shell for defense. The eye of the beast was the only weakness it had, but those eyes of its ran around its body like moving bugs across the skin. If it weren't for his precision and newly acquired ability to locate the eye that was hidden behind one of the hard shells appearing upon the skin of the beast, Melavan wouldn't have been able to do what he did.
After taking down the beast, Melavan moved to another area, giving a helping hand to those in need while leading the group. Even with the powers they had, the soldiers showed difficulty defeating the beasts alone. And in these moments, it was them who had exceptional abilities and skills who helped them to run alongside them.
?These figures are their captain, vice-captain, and Joshua, who showed remarkable and exceptional skill when defeating enemies with their newfound skills.
?Soldiers ran behind Sedric and Melavan as they led the group, and Joshua kept on being delayed from the group as he purposefully stayed behind to protect the group from the beasts.
?When crying for help, Joshua wasn't the type to leave them alone, and his blade swung past those in need to strike at their distress.
?Being helped by him, the soldiers offered their gratitude with words before joining behind the group that was running away.
?With Sedric and Melavan in the front and Joshua alone in the back, the group moved in turtle speed through the approaching hordes of weird and mutated beasts.
?Sword Shielders' swords standing to defend them proved unworthy against the claw strikes of some beasts, and this time Joshua came forward to defend them and strike back at the beast. And Stompers' kicks were guarded by beasts that could turn their skin into hard shells; and in those times, Sedric's bloody claws struck at the shell, crushing it into pieces.
?An archer with the Parallel Shooter class saw his arrows become ineffective against his target—which was a bird with white feathers that looked just like clear marble plates—and the bird dove down from the air like an arrow toward the archer. In that time, it was Melavan who stood to defend the soldier; with his precise movement, Melavan's blade found its way to the heart of the beast through its marble-hard feathers.
?The difficult journey continued for more than a day, the pressure and exhaustion were immense, more so to the likes of Joshua, Sedric, and Melavan, who did more work than other soldiers to keep the group safe and also to advance forward through the rushing tide of beasts.
