Chapter 96: Starlight Avenue
Wearing four-cornered underwear, Ju'an was about to open the door when he hesitated and withdrew his hand from the doorknob. He turned around and looked around cautiously. Jasmine thought Ju'an had changed his mind again, so she pulled down the quilt on her body, leaned sideways towards him, twirling the lightweight underwear on her finger, and said with a sly smile: "What's wrong? Don't you want to go get water anymore?"
While walking forward, he casually reached out and touched Jasmine's butt, chuckling as he said: "I'll deal with you later, little pervert. I'm going to go put on some clothes. Who knows when your roommate will be back? It'd be super awkward if she saw us."
Jasmine, with her toenails painted purple, slid them back and forth along Ju'an's thigh a couple of times before responding, "It's only a little after 9 o'clock now, she won't be back until after 11:30 at the earliest. Even if she sees us, what's the big deal? You're not bad-looking yourself." She was the first to burst out laughing.
As soon as he heard Mo Li say that, he felt relieved and smiled, grabbing another handful of her hair before turning the handle and walking into the living room. He went to the kitchen, took an empty glass from the cabinet, filled it with half a cup of water from the faucet, and gulped it down in one go. As he turned around to head back to Mo Li's bedroom, he suddenly saw the door to her roommate's room open, and out came a red-haired girl wearing tight hot pants and a tank top. The bright red hot pants tightly wrapped around her plump buttocks, and her dark red curly hair cascaded down her shoulders. She was holding a coffee cup in her hand, and Ju An was immediately stunned.
The red-haired girl saw Ju An wearing shorts and standing there, smiled and said to Ju An: "Hello, Superman". This made things even more awkward. Earlier when doing intense physical exercise, Jasmine had called herself Superman, and this girl must have heard it. Ju An felt his face suddenly burning hot. Then he didn't know whether to go up and shake hands or turn around and escape into the bedroom.
Fortunately, at this time, Jasmine heard the noise, wrapped a blanket around her body, came out of the bedroom, and smiled at the red-haired girl: "Gina! I didn't expect you to come back so early. Gina, this is my friend An, An, this is my roommate Gina." At this time, An's brain finally returned to normal, and he awkwardly greeted Gina: "Hey, hi Gina, I'll go put on some clothes" and then turned around and went back into the room. Behind him, two girls left a string of crisp laughter.
Jūān sat on the edge of the bed, searching around for her clothes and pants, putting them on, when she heard Gina's voice outside: "Your boyfriend is so cute, he was just stunned and even blushed, is he Chinese or Japanese?" Hearing this, Jūān felt a bit indignant, how could her brother look like a Japanese devil? Then she heard Jasmine respond: "Overseas Chinese". Gina's voice followed: "Oh, that's not surprising, they're usually very conservative about sex, no wonder he blushed." Then the two girls continued to chat in hushed tones.
After putting on his clothes, Ju An walked out of the house and stretched out his hand to Gina, saying: "My name is An, nice to meet you".
"Gina smiled and joked: 'Nice to meet you, Superman! My name is Gina, from France'."
Jasmine said beside him: "You haven't explained why you came back so early today, didn't you say that the scenes for this movie are all at night and it's always very late?"
Gina smiled and said, "Today the crew performed very well, many shots were done in one take, plus my part was all in the first segment, so I came back early. How come you're back now? Didn't you say you wouldn't be back in Los Angeles for a while? When I just entered the house, I heard a noise and thought there was a thief at home, then I heard your voice from the bedroom and knew you were back."
Jasmine didn't blush, smiling as she continued: "We came to attend a gathering, and after the gathering we'll head back to Montana. I just need to pick up some things, and it'll be about ten days before I return." Look at Jasmine's attitude, lying without even blushing. Clearly, she was sent back by herself, but ended up rolling around in bed with someone else. At least going to a hotel is better, this house has terrible soundproofing. If there are people next door, you can't even enjoy yourself rolling around in bed.
Two girls chatted for a while, and then Jasmine went back to her room with Ju An. Gina also poured herself a cup of coffee, closed the door, and Jasmine entered the house, starting to get dressed. After getting dressed, she stood by the bed, looking at the still unopened suitcase, and said to Ju An: "We can only stay in a hotel tonight. I thought she would come back very late, and we would already be asleep by then. It seems that's not possible."
"Hey, don't worry, the hotel's soundproofing is great, you can let loose and sing your heart out," Ju An said softly, his forehead against Mo Li's. Mo Li smiled and pushed him away, "Then hurry up, I'm getting a little impatient." She walked out of the room, with Ju An following behind her, carrying their luggage. As they reached the living room door, Mo Li shouted loudly towards Gina's room, "We're leaving, Gina!"
Then Gina's door opened and a head popped out, laughing at the two of them: "Bye, Molly! Bye! Superman!"
The two people left the building, hailed a car and arrived at the hotel. After entering the room, they naturally engaged in several rounds of physical intimacy until both were exhausted and fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, at over 10 o'clock, the two people finally woke up. After getting ready, Ju An took Jasmine to choose an evening dress. Originally, Jasmine was going to pay for it herself, but in the end, Ju An said that as her boyfriend, he should give her a dress, and only then did Jasmine happily accept. Incidentally, he also chose a dress for himself, which was still at home. Finally, when it was time to settle the bill, Ju An discovered that this time, the total cost of the two dresses was less than what he had spent on a single dress last time. It seemed that Jasmine was more frugal than that guy Mai Ke.
For Jasmine, who has lived in Los Angeles for several years, this place is also quite familiar. After leaving the dress shop, Jasmine took Ju An to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. How can you come to Los Angeles without visiting the Walk of Fame? You'd be embarrassed to tell others that you've been to LA if you didn't go here! As a introverted otaku, Ju An still likes Hollywood blockbusters and is familiar with many celebrities, such as Nicolas Cage, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, etc. So he was quite enthusiastic about visiting Hollywood.
Jasmine first took Ju An to see the Egyptian Theatre. To be honest, this Egyptian Theatre was not famous at all for Ju An, and she had never heard of it before. When they arrived, Ju An found that it was actually quite impressive. The entire exterior of the theater had a strong Egyptian flavor, and the architectural style was very distinctive. Jasmine explained beside her that this theatre was established in 1922 by someone named Grauman, so the name on the gate of the theatre was Grauman's Egyptian Theatre.
As soon as they came out of the theater, Jasmine told Ju An that this was the Walk of Fame. Ju An looked down and indeed it was. On the pedestrian path on the road, there was a large five-pointed star with a copper edge and a light red color, with the name of a famous star on it. In the middle of the five-pointed star, there was also a symbol. After looking at several stars, Ju An found that each star's symbol was different. Some were two masks, some were TVs, and others were cameras. Looking at several names, they were all in English, and Ju An had never heard of any of them.
The main road is not wide, it's probably just a few meters from the front door, I guess if four people walk side by side, it would be a bit crowded, which was a bit disappointing for Ju An.
As we got closer to the Chinese Theatre, there were more and more tourists, and many people dressed in movie costumes who would take pictures with you for a fee. Of course, they weren't doing charity work, so it was $1 per photo, which is still pretty cheap. And before taking the picture, they would always tell you that it's going to cost $1. Absolutely no ripping off customers.
I looked at several of them and had no idea what movie they were from, but I guess they just came out to make some money. I don't know how much they can make in a day, but after observing for a while, not many people took pictures with them.
When we arrived at the entrance of the Chinese Theatre, I felt a bit disappointed looking at the building. I thought it would be flying eaves and yellow tiles, but who knew the Americans wouldn't get it right? This is ridiculous, if you let Chinese people see this, who would say it's Chinese architecture? Only the two stone lions at the entrance had some Chinese flavor, the rest was like a nuclear radiation fish, a mess of random things put together.
It's good that the door was open and Ju'an caught Wu Yusen's handprint and footprint. Ju'an squatted down beside him, letting Jasmine take a photo of himself and Comrade Wu with the print. Just as she pressed the shutter, a big head popped out from behind them. After taking the picture, Ju'an gave Mickey Mouse comrade one dollar as an appearance fee.
Next, I went to visit the Kodak Theatre, which is quite famous and everyone knows it's where the Oscars are held. The plaza in front of it is also very beautiful. When we arrived, it was just after 3 pm, and there were a few little kids playing happily in the fountain at the front of the plaza. Yumi especially loved the two small elephants on top of the two big pillars, thought they were adorable.
Two theaters were too crowded to enter, so they walked along the street with Jasmine to find stars. When they found a recognizable one, they asked Jasmine to take a photo together. Originally, they wanted to find Bruce Lee's star, but after searching for half a day, they couldn't find it. Instead, they coincidentally saw the handprints of the three main actors from Harry Potter. Jianan looked around and thought that if they could find someone wearing costumes, it would be even better to take a photo together. After looking for a while, they didn't see anyone wearing Harry Potter or Hermione's costume, so they pulled over a Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean to make up the number.
After much difficulty, they finally found the star of Nicholas Cage, which is Qian's favorite actor. They immediately took a few good photos with it. After finishing these, Molly also wanted to take Qian to the wax figure museum, saying that there were many lifelike wax figures of celebrities there, and they were all life-sized, very interesting to look at.
But the lazy disease of being at ease came again, and followed Jasmine to say that it's good to go back and rest well, and there will be a party tonight, so she pulled Jasmine away from Starlight Avenue.
