LXI: RUNT

“THRACKERS! ALL OF THEM!!!” APOLLOX ANGRILY RAGED as he still stood on the Grand Stage, keeping Emperor Voltair, the kneeling citizens, and scared raxxless Voltairan Knights all held at bay.

Looking up into the stormy skyways while everyone remained bound by his sprawling telekinetic powers, Apollox snapped, “I could literally break that oath-breaking THRACK Magnus ‘over my knee’ with a mere morsel of strength and what does Braako have me do instead??? STAY BEHIND ON THRACKING GUARD DUTY?!?!”

Spinning around, Apollox looked back down at Emperor Voltair remained pressed down on the Grand Stage floor.

“WATCHING OVER A WEAK AND FEEBLE-MINDED OLD SKOGGER LIKE YOU,” Apollox blared as Emperor Voltair glared at him whilst gritting his teeth.

“Urgh… Ungrateful,” Emperor Voltair grunted out underneath Apollox’s telekinetic hold. “URGH… ALL OF YOU!!! THRACKING UNGRATEFUL!!!”

“Best mind your ‘golden tongue’ when talking to me, thracker!” Apollox roared as he tightened the hold that he had on the emperor’s hold entire body. “If you spew one more ‘sour word’ at me again then I shall crush you FLAT!”

While the holy emperor grunted and cried out in pain another one of Magnus’s screams echoed across the skyways.

Looking over his right shoulder, Apollox looked off in the distance at two ‘tiny specs’, one being Braako and the other being Magnus, ripping through the Voltairan skyways.

Braako struck Magnus multiple times with heavy, gravity-backed punches, sending the World-Breaker flying over several city blocks.

This made Apollox scowl for he wanted to join in on the ‘fun’ as well.

Noticing Apollox’s ‘utter disdain’ was Emperor Voltair, who grunted, “Urgh… Childling!”

“What?” Apollox huffed as he turned around to face the wicked Royal Head of the Voltairan Empire. “WHAT?!”

“Chuh-Childling! The others, they treat you like a thracking childling, Apollox! They… Urgh… They always have!”

  “No. No, they do not…”

“You have no need to lie to me, Apollox. Not any… Urgh… more. Ugh… Ever since you were all childlings the others treated you not as their ‘equal’, but as their lesser. As their… Urgh… runt.”

“SILENCE!!!” Apollox raged, tightening the telekinetic hold that he had on the emperor’s body even more.

As Emperor Voltair groaned in utter agony a brave, but kroonish band of three Voltairan Knights came rushing at Apollox on his left.

Noticing this immediately, Apollox thrusted them all backward with a powerful push of telekinesis that shot out of his left palm.

“THERE! HOW IS THAT?!” Apollox snapped off at the grand emperor. “Could a ‘lesser life-form’ do that?! COULD HE?!?!”

“Urgh… I said that they thought you were lesser than them, Apollox,” Emperor Voltair growled. “Nuh-Not… Urgh… Not me.”

Apollox brow then steadied as Emperor Voltair continued to lie, “I always thought you were the best, Apollox. The best of all of them. Grander than all of them. Even grander than… Urgh… than Magnus.”

Lowering his brow again, Apollox asked, “If you truly thought that I was best then why in the thrack did you make the Oath-Breaker our ‘Commanding-Leader’ and not me?”

Emperor Voltair’s eyes then widened as Apollox’s scowl grew even more angry and twisted.

“Liar… LIAR!!!” Apollox roared as he went to crush Emperor Voltair to death, but he suddenly was stopped by ‘another’ cry, but it was not one of Magnus’s.

  No, it was one of...

“Braako?” Apollox said with a look of concern on his face after hearing his ‘brother’s’ cry of pain.

Filled with nothing but rage and fury now that he had solely for Magnus, Apollox shouted at the top of his lungs, “BRAAKOOOOOO!!!!!!!!”

  BOOM!

After his loud, deafening roar, Apollox blasted off the Grand Stage, breaking the telekinetic hold that he had over the citizens, Voltairan Knights, and Emperor Voltair.

“EMPEROR!!!” one of the Knights cried out as he and several of his other comrades immediately rushed to slightly injured, ‘wicked’ ruler’s aid.

As the Knights assisted the emperor back up to his feet he stressed, “Urgh… I am fine. I AM FINE, I SAY! Just… Just let me be!”

Setting his sights on Apollox, who was now flying to meet both Magnus and Braako who were still fighting each other over the city, Emperor Voltair glared at the three Deciders in utter hatred.

“My Emperor, we must take you to a secure location… AT ONCE!” one of the Knights said to Voltair.

“The Royal Palace is the only safe haven for you now, Your Majesty,” a second Knight informed.

“We shall travel by way of your ‘Personal Astro-Shuttle’, Sir,” a third Knight explained as he and the others began to help Emperor Voltair off of the Grand Stage. “We must go before the Galactic Deciders return.”

As he was helped off of the Grand Stage, Emperor Voltair kept his sights perched on the final three remaining Galactic Deciders whilst the citizens out in the crowd frenzied out of the City Square en route to much safer locations.

All the while the holy emperor glared at his last three remaining ‘sons’, realizing what true horror and destruction would ensue during their ever so ‘godly’ fight.
