Chapter 64: Set Out!

  Day 9. Morning.

A new day. Yu Zhiye woke up in his hammock as usual. The morning routine began.

Borrowing the power from the refreshed buffs, he went to check on the resource generator barrels.

There’s nothing special about the wood generator. What’s interesting was the money printer.

Lifting the lid, Yu Zhiye stared at the mostly empty barrel, save for a single emerald gem sitting at the bottom.

“Bleh. A one-to-one exchange rate between core energy and emeralds?”

That’s like the worst case scenario in his books! But was it worth it? Kinda.

“Well, I’m cool with it, considering that core energy is practically free.”

Think about it another way. That’s merely two CE for a water bucket, which can sustain his fishing for almost a whole day!

This was a profit created from thin air! Wurf!

Besides, the current passive income technically meant four emeralds could be generated daily!

Considering the prices of the wandering merchant’s potions…

Less than a month and he can even afford the most expensive Ichiha bloodline!

“Sweet stars above, it actually doesn’t sound that far away!”

Alas… Yu Zhiye knows it’s impossible to save like that because it will slow his core’s growth to a turtle’s pace.

That’s simply discarding the root to chase the branches.

Anime powers might sound overpowered, but they’re just embellishment.

His true foundation is still this pocket dimension!

“If I can upgrade my core to the point where my passive income is over 100 core energy a day, then it’s not too late to buy whatever I want!”

Those were big dreams and Yu Zhiye didn’t mind striving for it, starting today… no, tomorrow.

As for today? There’s an appointment to go adventuring. A promise is a promise.

  Back in the store.

Just when Yu Zhiye stepped out from the restroom, he bumped into the hot model in red that starred in a special film with him just yesterday.

Chae Yoona – what a sexy supermodel. He still can’t forget her taste.

But since yesterday, she kept her distance and acted like nothing happened between them.

Like they agreed upon: it was their little secret and she won’t tell a soul.

It’s just that… when she passed by him, this seductress still can’t help but tease him in a whisper only them two can hear.

  “Morning… oppa.”

Before anybody could catch anything wrong, she drifted away like a red specter that has no obsession with this world.

  Where is she going?

To mix with the circle of leaders like usual. Her usual antics: a fox mistress that played all sides.

What of their relationship? Purely transactional.

Perhaps she saw him as an easy target and took him down first.

This turned him into her secret sugar daddy to buy herself more playing space to wrap others around her fingers.

Once she milked him dry and finds someone better to attach to...

  What will happen was obvious.

Was Yu Zhiye uncomfortable with the idea? A little.

But can he blame her? Nope.

She was just seeking survival in her own way. Beauty was a fortune but also a disaster.

The naive still stubbornly held onto their own dignity and self-esteem.

But the smart capitalized on their own advantages.

This Chae Yoona was a smart woman. Otherwise she wouldn’t have made a name in the entertainment circle.

Her past – Yu Zhiye didn’t care. Her future? We’ll have to wait and see.

For now, he pays, she plays.

As for whether her getting too close to other men will make him jealous? Not really.

What is there to be jealous about?

While they’re all still simping after swan meat, who knew the swan already became his dirty onahole!

That fact really made his ego swell and almost made him want to chase after that curvy back!

“Yo Steve, what cha looking at?”

Yu Zhiye turned back to see Jack returning from his morning leak and casually hid the truth, “Nothing. Just checking the shelves.”

“Yeah?” Jack patted his shoulder. “Don’t get your hopes up, Steve. Nuthing’s spawning anymore. Newbie welfare is gone. I’ll probably have to save my beer for happy occasions from now on. Bahaha.”

It’s rare to meet someone this easygoing on life, but in their party…

There’s still a chill fisherman and a happy-go-lucky little goblin.

Well, birds of a feather flock together.

“Aight, ready to head out, Steve? The little missy should be up soon…”

“Fuu... Uncle, little Ling’er is already up!”

Behind, the sleepyhead floated to their side while sleepily rubbing her eyes.

“Hey! Look who it is! Thought I’ll have to be little missy’s door alarm again, today! Bwahaha!”

Miss Highschooler pouted and scooted to Yu Zhiye’s other side.

“Eih… is big brother gunna keep your promise today la?”

Yu Zhiye smiled. “Yeah. Let’s go.”

“Yay a golden trio is finally formed! Ehehe”

The golden trio headed outside and were greeted by the rocky mountain with peaks towering even higher than before.

Jack judged the distant and muttered, “Sheesh. Looks like it’s less than a mile away today. Hopefully we won’t wake up tomorrow and find ourselves up on a cliff.”

That was indeed something of concern, especially since there was a desert temple sitting up on the peaks above as an example.

“Well... whatever happens, happens. Just deal with it when the time comes.”

  “Bwahaha! Right you are, Steve!”

Yu Zhiye then looked back and forth between the mountain range that spanned from left horizon to right. “So? Which direction are we headed?”

“Well, there’s should be many crevices to enter from, but the one we scouted yesterday should be in…” Jack pointed to the southeast. “...that direction.”

“Cool.” Yu Zhiye took out his fishing rod. “Then I’ll take point and we’ll head straight there.”

“Yeah?” Jack trusted his own experience more, but he wasn’t the type to deny the younger generation a chance to grow. “Aight, then we’ll leave it to you, Steve!”

“Eih! Big brother, don’t fall in or we won’t fish you out! Ehehe~”

Yu Zhiye rolled his eyes. With his fishing rod’s quicksand detection cheat, what can go wrong?
