Chapter 82 { Demon Nobles }

  Upon the walls the scene reminds you of the lament of ghosts on a stormy rainy day with corpses everywhere, this was the truth of this scene as the demons wreaked havoc in the human army and tore them apart, humans have many ways to confront demons foremost among them fire and light especially light as it is considered the strongest, and because of the presence of Sir Arthur some light trainees were here and there and even false knights yet the sorrowful painting remains drawn by the pen of a withered old man on the verge of death manifested upon majestic yet shattered walls and brave soldiers yet slain and the dreams of helpless women praying for them in silence.

  Move your eyes to the sky to find a fierce battle taking place whose result will determine whether the city survives or not especially in the absence of Sir Arthur and the Marshal and it is the battle of the nobles where the three human generals fight against four Demon Nobles.

  The demons began communicating telepathically.

  " What is that fool doing ? "

  " Can he not bring the flower and return !? "

  " Those three have advanced greatly in the arts of light , they are on the verge of becoming true knights ".

  " They are not our priority now , we must obtain the flower and leave ".

  " I will go to assist him and you occupy them " one of them said and turned into shadows and departed.

  " Where to ? " General Kyos stopped him.

  " Heads of Death ".

  " Order of Death ".

  " Mercy of Death ".

  The other three unleashed their arts which halted Kyos and the other two.

  General Kyos’s expression tightened – damn , the Light Legion led by Madas will not be able to defend against one and now there are two leading the operation and the Marshal and Sir Arthur are absent , damn it is a losing battle - , General Kyos thought anxiously and looked into the eyes of the other two.

  Soldiers and screams spread across every place.

  Ian stood with difficulty as a wound appeared along his body extending from the top of his shoulder to his navel, the wound closed but left a large scar upon Ian’s body.

  Ian smiled, his body was swaying and trembling to the extreme as if a child trying to learn to walk yet in the body of a young man or a drunk who just left the house of flowers, the title “Fierce” was working to give him the determination to stand again and fight but the pain still existed even if much lighter than before.

  Before him , in the sky precisely , stood the Demon Noble , bearing a great wound upon his shoulder and for the first time this wound could not regenerate , it is not as if he had never been struck by light or fire before but his life force and lineage are stubborn granting him terrifying regeneration and very high resistance to light but now with the presence of the title Knight of Light and the Sword of Light and finally the skill Radiance of the End ( Mythical Broken ) , the power turned into something even the Demon Noble could not withstand and he suffered a fatal wound , not fatal in the literal sense but one that will never heal.

  The soldiers’ eyes widened in terror at this scene as this battle left them shocked to the core especially when you see Ian’s aura at the Beginner level ! , a Beginner level against a Noble and the Beginner is the one winning , what damned nonsense is this ? , as if they are watching a ridiculous play with amateur actors or perhaps they consumed something wrong that caused them strange hallucinations , or they died and are now in hell and that is why they see unbelievable scenes.

  Ian steadied himself with force and gripped the sword’s hilt firmly " Are you ready to die ? ".

  " You ! , that previous skill ,,, that power ,,,, it surpassed the boundary of legendary skills " the Demon Noble shouted and felt fear " What the hell are you and what is your background ? ".

  A stronger skill does not only mean that it can unleash a stronger attack but an attack that carries a certain portion of the world’s power , you can liken it to a sheet of paper and a sword , no matter how much force you put into the paper whether held by an adult or a child its power will remain that of paper but when speaking of a sword the matter is different , here it is the same every skill’s limits are predetermined and no matter how much more power you try to pour into it its effect will remain the same , and thus the meaning of a higher skill is not higher energy but a qualitative lethal and tremendous change without equal and proof of crushing power that no one will be able to confront.

  " I am your slayer " Ian shouted and swung the sword again " Radiance of the End " as light rose like lightning to strike the Demon Noble.

  " Death Sentence " the Demon Noble used his art again , " Order of Death " and suddenly from another location another powerful attack came.

  Ian was startled and immediately used Phantom Steps but it was too late and his flesh was torn his arm severed and the sword separated from him.

  " What delayed you damned one " the new Noble arrived who was somewhat short.

  " Because of him ! and do not underestimate him " said the fat Noble ( the first ) but it was too late as Ian appeared again this time before this new Noble and his sword shining with strong radiance while his severed hand had returned once more , the short Noble was surprised and trembled but he did not delay , he was seasoned and powerful and battlefields were not unfamiliar to him.

  " Shield of Doom , Mercy of Death " the shield appeared around his body and at the same time a powerful storm hurled Ian backward.

  " You possess our blood ! " the short Noble was shocked " no wonder you demanded the sword ".

  " Be careful " the fat Noble shouted.

  Ian’s attack was entirely a feint and suddenly the Spirit Sword emerged from the shadow of the short Noble , the short Noble trembled when he felt a burning pain tearing through his back , the shield that demons take pride in and which grows with them shattered under the brutal force of this powerful sword which tore through his shield then his skin and flesh and reached the most sacred place in a demon’s body , the heart !The core was their heart , their true heart ! , of course they can live without it and even regenerate a new heart but their power will suffer a violent blow and it will require a long time before they grow a new heart , killing nobles was not that simple for their vitality life force and stubbornness were something that would drive anyone to despair but Ian did not want that , he did not want to kill them but wanted their cores.

  The sword tore through the newcomer’s body and Ian extracted the core from him and swallowed it.

  " Bastard " the short Noble waved his hand with overwhelming force " Descent of Ashura " and as a result Ian’s body was sent crashing spreading blood everywhere and he lost three limbs from his body.

  Failure Ascension ,,, activation.

  ** The skill Failure Ascension ( Legendary ) has been forcefully activated **.

  It was already working in general but when activated by force this means it will use all its capabilities at 110% power , and immediately the core was burned and Ian’s power began to rise.

  Inside Ian’s body you can see the Demon Noble’s core transforming into a torrential stream of energy under the dominance of the skill Failure Ascension and turning into a heavenly river of energy that will not extinguish being pumped into the 112 pillars which transform into chains then into the thing forming at the center which began to take shape as a small seed of bright golden color royal purple and vivid red and it grows little by little.

  " He is advancing " the short Noble shouted in terror at this insane scene for breakthroughs between levels were not like this not for demons only but for all races almost without exception.

  " We must kill him quickly he must never break through to the Fighter level " the fat Noble shouted and waved the sword " Death Sentence ".

  Peak.

  Inside Ian’s Dantian.

  The 112 energy pillars shone powerfully , the chains binding them began to glow with red and yellow brilliance pouring into the seed at the center , suddenly the royal aura moved and formed a circle around the seed nurturing it and as a result the seed began to grow and with it Ian’s energy.

  The two attacks descended upon him , Ian extended both his hands , on one hand fire and light on the other hand ( Fist of Fire on one side and Fist of Light on the other ).

  Crash.

  As if they collided with a massive barrier as Ian blocked the two attacks with complete ease , eyes froze but it did not stop there , the seed manifested within him declaring an explicit breakthrough to the third level , and Ian’s energy began to rage like a wild beast and took the form of a giant knight made of light behind Ian holding a majestic heavenly sword.

  " Radiance of the End ".

  The knight’s shadow moved and formed the same majestic attack but with power hundreds of times greater than Ian’s attack.

  Light flooded the world and spread its dominion over all forcing them to bow to its greatness and stand still before its beauty declaring a great explosion that swept in its wake a vast number of demons foremost among them the two Nobles.
