The beginning of the end

  Preface:

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…

Ajunta Pall and a handful of dark jedi were banished, exiled after the 100 year war. This you know, but the rest of Ajunta Pall’s life is shrouded in mystery. In all reality, it was purposely hidden. There was another war, one hidden from history, one that was even more cataclysmic, and left in its wake even more death and destruction than the 100 year war between the splintered jedi order. Why were these records hidden from the eyes of history? Let me tell you a story… and you can decide for yourself….

  Author’s Note:

I don’t claim any rights to star wars. This is fanfiction, but who knows, maybe one day this will be a new chapter in the star wars franchise if they contact me and want it. A guy can dream right? haha.

  Prologue:

“Why did you call us to this backwater planet, Ajunta?” Makel asks in an annoyed tone. “I don’t like my time being wasted!”

Ajunta, still dressed in his traditional jedi robes, despite having been banished by the misguided jedi council, turns to looks and the red and black skinned Zabrak. Makel’s hand hovers near his lightsaber, as if he is ready for a fight. A habit of his. One developed in the 100 years of darkness when Jedi could appear at any moment.

Ajunta folds his hands behind his back and gives Makel a calm smile. “To show you something, my excitable friend.”

Makel growls, but before he can say more Jezzel speaks up. “Ajunta, I love your antics as much as anyone, but Makel and I were… pre-occupied. so speak plainly. What do you wish to show us? What have you been up to these past few years” the grey skinned Twi’lek asks, her tone emotionless.

Ajunta smiles. “The downfall of the Jedi order,” Ajunta's tone doesn’t change, nor his calm demeanor which only makes the impact on both of their faces that much sweeter. Without a word he turns and starts down the sandstone carved hallway.

“What are you trying to pull Ajunta?” Makel says cautiously.

“We already lost the war with the Jedi, Ajunta. We have few resources, and next to no manpower. We were disgraced and exiled. For your sake, I hope you aren’t making baseless claims,” Jezzel’s usual emotionless tone is present, but there is something underneath it; something dangerous.

Ajunta turns into a room off the main hall without responding. The chamber is simple, the walls sandstone and the furnishings primitive compared to a place like Coruscant or many of the other civilized words for that matter. Simple lanterns with firelight flicker in the room, pushing back the night’s darkness. Koribban isn’t focused on technology. They are focused on something far, far more useful.

Makel grumbles to himself, fingering his lightsaber as they enter.

Ajunta strides out onto a balcony, looking into the night air. There are no lights below, and the sky above is clouded, casting the land below them in darkness.

The other two come out onto the balcony, Makel looking like a storm ready to burst, Jezzel looking like a snake ready to strike.

“Behold!” Ajunta declares, letting his voice carry farther than it needs to for the two of them to hear. At that point a red light explodes in the courtyard below the balcony they now stand on. The hum of hundreds of lightsabers buzz through the air. While the light from so many sabers bathes the street and the hundreds of men and women wielding them in a spectacular red glow.

Makel is speechless, while Jezzel’s eyes fill with unshed tears. An army such as this… could rival the Jedi Order itself.

“You asked me why I have spent time on this world. This is why I have been absent. Koriban is much more than any of us could have ever hoped for, my friends.” Ajuntal Pall spreads his arms to take in the men and women below, their facial hair, tentacles instead of actual hair, and their skin mostly a light red. Every one of them seem bread for war, with clearly fit bodies.” Ajunta smiles at his companions. “Behold, the Sith. Behold, the downfall of the Jedi Order.”
