Hey guys, a lot of stuff happened yesterday, I wanted to make the events of yesterday into one thread.

To catch everyone up. Here's a list of what happened with our Horse Trainer:

○Josh goes to school. Finds a pile of corpses and finds Blitzle, now Stripe Horse (Edit: Uriel). Spends a bit taking down lockers. Joshua finds Berry Club and takes some. Turns out this is some weird nightmare copy and the people/pokemon here aren't dead (at least I think that's what it is).

○It starts raining, and they go home. Uriel is fed (don't worry I have the clip [HERE]). Joshua finds out that Jophiel is WAY up the bracket for Pokemon. Joshua builds a battery, pnts pumpkins for some reason, then goes back to school after the storm clears.

○Finally found a computer b. Finds Ace’s note (they're alive?) in the cloud server (still can't believe he managed to get it working, good job Josh!). Something about Stronghold, full note has been copied and written down [HERE]. Steven tells him to go home and bunker up.

○Steven is done with his conversation with Palkia. Things didn't go so well. And… I'll just [Let you read it]...

○Joshua is completely inconsoble for the next few hours, Dr. Ambers nor Steven can get to him. Jophiel White Horses the door and EVOLVES INTO A NEW VARIANT OF RAPIDASH????

○Apparently they linked back up again, but something seems different. The two have just been cuddling for the st few hours. Very cute. Definitely didn't cry.

  Is that it? Cool.

The pokenet is blowing up right now, all of this in a single day is making the Rotom’s work overtime.

I feel so bad for Joshua man, I hope he gets out of there.

Where is he going to go now? He can't stay there!

Also, the professors are freaking out about the new variant of the Rapidash line. They're already discussing what conditions would cause Garian Ponyta to evolve into this new form.

Horse too White… body not enough for the amount of violence, so she simply made it bigger and Whiter. What's so hard to understand?

Also Joey got so big!!!! AWWWWWWWWW SHES SO HAPPY!!! ( ☆?☆). Have no idea what the wings are about but she's killing it!!!

I wish I could create a better environment for him to mourn what and who he lost, to lose so much… Even if there were nothing left for him to return to in his world, if he somehow manages to find himself in Hoenn, I will make sure he is welcomed with open arms.

The Pokemon League, at the moment, has no leads on what causes Ponyta to evolve in this way. But if I had to guess, it might just be the unique conditions set by the world Jophiel is staying in.

Or it's simply Fairy-type shenanigans. They are known to be… unique.

Edit: @IonoZone I just saw your post.

  Come and take him.

There's like, what, three Fairy-type specialists in Sinnoh? And even they have no idea how the type works, so it might actually be that lol.

Also if he ends up in Sinnoh, can I hold onto him while you two battle it out?

I'm a refugee from the fanfic and fanart threads next door. Do NOT go over there, it's a battlefield, so I'm staying here for a bit.

LOL rip servers. My White Horse hasn't evolved yet, but if it takes whatever Joshua's going through to get the variant… yeah I'm good.

Seriously though, is there nothing we can do?

Nobody gonna mention how we have two champions and a gym leader watching the thread? No? Well okay.

  …

  [POV: PROFESSOR BIRCH]

Professor Birch stares at a still image of the “Alicorn Variant Rapidash” (name pending) on his monitor.

  “It doesn't work like that…”

A headache pounds in his skull from the nonstop work he's doing. A cup of coffee sits in his hand, still steaming.

“Sure, environments can cause variants in Pokemon, but it takes YEARS. Having a Pokemon just evolve from being in a pce just… isn't a thing!”

Well, except from that one Pokemon…

  And that other one…

  And…

  A loud sigh escapes him.

He takes a sip of his coffee, not caring that it scorches his tongue.

  “I hate fairy types…”

They were only discovered a couple of months ago, and they continue to complicate things for him.

  …

  [POV: STEVEN STONE]

Fshing cameras meet his gaze as he steps out onto the ptform.

An emergency press conference, one that he knew he was going to do the moment the transcript went public.

He's already had to deal with the countless pokemail and calls, so as much as he dislikes press conferences, it's a convenient excuse to not answer any of them.

Holding up his hand, the crowd of spectators and reporters quiet down, leaving him with the microphone and his associates behind him.

“Good morning everyone, I'm sure you all are aware of why we are here today. Today, this press conference will hopefully answer some questions any of you would have about Joshua Abrams, and the transcripts from my conversation with Palkia”

He first goes over a recap of what happened, who he's talking about, and other events and specutions. It's not necessary at all, and everyone here already knows all of this, but it's just part of a press conference.

  Such a pain…

“We will now be taking questions”

  Instantly, hands shoot up.

Steven picks a reporter from the crowd.

“Mr. Champion, a lot of people are worried about this ‘rge weapon’ that supposedly destroyed Mr. Abrams world, is there any information you can share about that?”

  The crowd mumbles.

Of course they would start with that.

Steven himself still feels heartbroken about that, an entire world just… gone.

And the sole survivor can't even mourn properly because of how dangerous the world around him is.

Steven reigns back in the anger he feels, invisible behind his mask of professionalism.

“As far as we can tell, such a weapon seems to be exclusively native to Joshua's world, and there is no presence of it here. Joshua himself seems familiar with ‘The Weapon’, and according to him so is everyone else in his world. But, for reasons that I personally agree with, he has kept any information about them extremely close to his chest, and refuses to talk about them in length”

Smart thinking Joshua. The only information Steven even HAS on ‘The Large Weapon’ is that it was common knowledge in Joshua's world and it only took a press of a button to deploy it.

“Your world gets more depressing the more I learn about it, my friend…” Steven mutters to himself, away from the mic.

  Another hand, another question.

“What is the League's response to the new variant of the Rapidash line? Will this help research on the new Fairy type?”

  Steven groans internally.

Why ask him?! He's just a figurehead for the League, the research departments are more for the Professors!

“The Pokemon League are still looking into it. It is still unknown whether this variant needs specific conditions previously unknown to evolve in this way, or it is just a variant evolution caused by a unique environment”

“Horse too White…” Someone in the crowd murmurs.

“Do you think Josh would be open to breeding her…?” A conversation in the crowd opens.

“Pretty sure she would shovel you for even asking, man”

“I know Kanto is having a fit over the link”

“Kanto has a fit over everything, those old coots”

  “Dude, I'm FROM Kanto”

  “Well stop it then”

Steven has to stifle a chuckle.

Quickly checking his phone, he reads a message from his finance guy.

Dr. Ambers is asking for a bonus and extra overtime. Says that dealing with ‘post-omnicidal trauma’ may need extra work. She's been taking notes, apparently, and meeting up with others in her field.

Knowing Joshua, there's a good chance that he's single-handedly inadvertently progressing the therapy and psychology fields of study.

He's… not too sure how to feel about that.

  Steven hits confirm.

He ignores the message from the Aether Foundation.

“As for whether it will further our understanding of the new type, we will just have to wait and see”

  Transtion: I dunno.

  …

  [POV: JOSHUA]

(“...I don't think I can look at a Vaporeon in the eyes ever again…”)

  “I warned you”

The morning of the next day, 5AM, the sun is just peaking over the horizon.

Joshua has to say, having his mind psychically merged with an alicorn is… actually quite interesting.

They are lying in the grass of his front yard, Jophiel is curled up slightly, letting Joshua y back against her barrel.

She's very soft. And to Jophiel, he is very warm. The default state of the “merge” has them sharing senses, so while he can feel her fur, he can also feel the slight pressure she's feeling as he ys on it.

  Still heavenly though.

  (“Thank you”)

  Joshua snorts.

  Last night was…

  A lot.

He hardly slept. Going in and out of hysterical fits of sadness and depression. Luckily, Jophiel had been a massive help.

  To be honest… he's lost.

What is he supposed to do now?

  Does it matter?

But the world doesn't wait for him, he knows this.

  But…

  If his… world… is gone.

  Where else could he go?

He can't just stay here, in this pce.

Somewhere deeper inside him, a guiding warmth rears its head, making a comfortable heat settle in his chest.

He looks over at chat, looking back at the transcripts.

  “The connection isn't wide enough…”

How do you make a “connection” between worlds wider?

  Worlds… dimensions? Does that count?

Palkia has the power to create dimensions if he wanted to, and it's not like he wasn't willing to send him to an alternate version of his home, he just CAN'T.

  Trespassing.

He knows that God loves him, that's like Christianity 101, and for some reason Arceus likes him too. So it's not like they would have conflict.

After all, what kind of conflict would two omnipotent entities possibly have? He imagines it's just them having their own portion of infinity and agree not to touch each other's creations.

He has NO idea if that's true.

  So… connections. Dimensions.

What does he have? Not much.

  The Nether, and The End.

There is not a single fucking thing you could say to convince Joshua to go into the Nether, and he would fight the whole way you dragged him.

Not only was the dimension in the game a nightmare, with ghasts, bzes, piglins, and gigantic fuck-you pools of va.

Joshua is an old soul rediscovering his faith, there's not a chance he would willingly go to the Minecraft PARODY and EQUIVALENT TO HELL.

  The End, then.

Ace has already found the portal, so it all comes back to finding amethyst for the navigation device. Find Ace, find the portal.

Find the portal, and maybe find a way out of here.

Unfortunately, he has no idea what the conditions are for amethyst to generate. So mining forever seems like an awful idea.

So. Where does that leave them?

  Mining.

  Fucking… mining.

  Joshua groans.

  (“It is not that bad”)

Jophiel's calm voice chides him with amusement.

“Do you know how sketchy it feels? You should, right? I KNOW you're seeing the Nutty Putty Cave incident”

Jophiel, in fact, does. Her face scrunches into a wince as she recoils at the memory she's read.

(“...you have the help of your ‘system’, it is not like you are squeezing yourself into any caves, like that man”)

While both of them have seen and have access to each other's… well, everything. Like normal memories, one of them has to focus on it to actually bring it to the forefront. It's hard to expin, but it works.

Joshua knows he shouldn't be stalling.

The stars don't wait for him, after all.

  “Fuuuuuuuuck”

Jophiel chuckles, her voice like the chimes of bells in the breeze.

(“I could help, if you want?”)

“No no… you hate the mines more than me, I'll just have to… thug it out, like a man”

  (“Pft. ‘Thug it out?’”)

  “Whatever the kids are saying”

Jophiel snorts, adjusting her legs slightly.

  (“But you are no thug?”)

“Love, I can FEEL you being amused. You're not pying dumb with me”

She chuckles again, not caring that she was caught in a bit.

  (“You could pretend though”)

  “And… why?”

  (“Please? For me?”)

The pleading tone and gleaming look in her eye IMMEDIATELY shuts him down. As soon as hesitation creeps in, he can feel the smugness and excitement radiating off the mare, not even bothering to try and mask her intentions.

“...it's a term that's along the same vein as ‘tough it out’ or ‘man it out’. There's a problem, and in response you just have to ‘deal with it’. It is mostly dismissive, but ‘thugging it’ is used more as a positive example of strong will. At least in how I've seen it used”

  Jophiel hums.

  (“Fascinating”)

  “Is it really?”

(“I may already know all of this, but it is nice seeing it expressed. Plus, am I wrong for just wanting a reason to talk?”)

“Can't really fault you for that”

  [GOOOOOOOOD MORNING CHAT!]

  [WOOOOHOOOOO THE SUN!!!]

  [No]

  [Morning Joshua! Morning Jophiel!]

  [Good Morning!~]

  [Morning]

  [HERE COMES THE SUUUUUUUN]

Chat is as excitable as ever.

Pushing himself up, he checks over his inventory.

“I should get breakfast started. You'll need a new diet, can't imagine you'll run on the same fuel as before”

  (“The berries?”)

“Yeah, I'm gonna start using the berries”

Jophiel pushes herself up and follows him to the farm. With her rger size making her now up to his chin, 5’5 vs somewhere around 6’0, she has to be more mindful of her movements.

  “Huh. That's convenient”

Joshua hadn't been able to keep around his crops while he was… occupied. But his crop chest has a lot more things in it now.

Had Gabriel been farming for him?

  How considerate of her.

Oran and Leppa berries enter his inventory, repeating the process of pnting more bushes of them with a small part of the yield.

  Time for breakfast.

And after… he guesses he can mine…

Oh, wait! He still needs sand for that signal! He should do that fir-

  (“Mhmm”)
