Chapter 14: Heroine Saved the Beauty

Once out of Liora Voss's line of sight, Elias finally dropped the weak act.

He was still running a fever, but so what? It didn't affect anything. He didn't feel bad at all. If anything, it felt like the AC was bsting—his whole body cool and refreshed. As long as it didn't actually kill him, he was fine.

As the protagonist of an abuse novel, he could have organs ripped out by the end of the plot and still survive. A mere fever clearly couldn't do him in.

  Elias strolled cheerfully into campus.

His pn right now was to "accidentally" run into Giselle Frost.

After taking a small L with Yvonne Quinn, he wanted to test his charm on Giselle.

The system sounded a little worried about this idea. "Isn't this too much all at once?"

The host had only been in this world for one day and had already made contact with three targets. The efficiency was impressive, but it made the system suspect he might be rushing things and risking a crash at any moment.

Elias walked down the shaded path, pnning to circle the entire campus again like st night.

As he wandered, he chatted with the system. "What's too much about it? If Seraphina Hale wasn't busy filming right now, I'd go brush faces with her too."

After all, while the five women's plotlines looked intricately tangled like old tree roots, most of the time they were actually independent of each other. They only occasionally intersected.

Elias had dealt with plenty of those harem-style showdowns before. He wasn't scared in the slightest.

It was just dogs biting dogs. As long as they didn't dare bite their owner, all he had to do was hold the leash and make sure they didn't kill each other.

He had already come up with clear strategies for taming all five of these bitches through studying the original plot.

Serena Bckwood was all about physical desire—so sleep with her and expose her true face early. Yvonne Quinn was a sadist—so let her py her twisted games on his body. Giselle Frost was the emotional type—so give her a youthful, romantic fling. Seraphina Hale liked "saving the fallen"—so after pying around with everyone else, go to her so she could redeem him properly.

As for Liora Voss, who loved watching him get toyed with by these women?

He'd simply let her watch him toy with the women instead.

It was all the same game. Swapping roles—what was wrong with that?

In fact, Liora would probably get even more excited.

Hearing Elias talk so confidently, the system had a moment of realization. So the host already had a full pn. In that case, it had nothing to worry about.

Elias walked an entire p around campus until his legs felt soft, but he still hadn't spotted any sign of Giselle Frost.

He frowned slightly. "Don't tell me she's not even attending csses right now?"

Giselle was the eldest daughter of the Frost family, with a background deep enough to rival the Bckwoods.

More importantly, she was extremely rebellious. She had even run away from home before because she hated her mother's arrangements. With that kind of personality and status, whether Giselle attended css or not depended entirely on her mood. If she felt like it, she showed up. If not, she disappeared for days at a time.

Not even the teachers dared say anything, and even the president of Westbridge University wouldn't interfere. After all, several buildings on campus had been donated by the Frost family. They naturally let the Frost heiress do whatever she wanted…

Elias gritted his teeth in frustration. "Does having money really let you do whatever the hell you want?!"

  [System Theta: Mm.]

  Elias: "…"

After failing to get Yvonne Quinn's number, in just half an hour he hadn't even caught a glimpse of a single strand of Giselle's silver hair.

Great. The time they wasted, he would deduct from the time they spent in bed with him!

Elias temporarily gave up on the idea of running into Giselle and decided to head back to the dorm to rest and bring his fever down first. He could feel his movements slowing. His mind was still clear, but his body was starting to give out.

Suddenly the system cried out. "Look over there!"

Elias followed the prompt and caught a fsh of striking silver at the end of the shaded path. Normal people wouldn't dye their hair such a fshy color even if they wanted attention. That figure had to be Giselle Frost.

After searching so desperately, he had finally found her. In his excitement Elias stepped forward, but his knees suddenly buckled and he pitched straight toward the ground.

Right at that moment two female students happened to be walking past. With quick reflexes they grabbed his arms firmly and caught him before he hit the pavement.

"Thanks…" Elias naturally let a trace of panic show on his face, looking like a startled little rabbit.

The sudden movement also made his disguise gsses fall to the ground, revealing his breathtakingly beautiful face right in front of the two girls.

  "No problem…"

They had just started to shake their heads when they saw his face and froze completely.

Elias noticed their reaction and realized his gsses had fallen off, but he wasn't panicked. So what if his real appearance was seen? It wasn't a big deal. At most he'd become material for their dreams. This was Westbridge University, after all—the top school in the country. The people who got in here had decent character. They wouldn't take advantage of someone in a vulnerable state.

Sure enough, the girl supporting him came back to her senses and let go. "Sorry, I…"

Before she could finish, with no support left and Elias's genuinely surprised expression, his body colpsed again. It almost looked like he was faking a fall on purpose. The girl had no choice but to grab his arm again. "Are you okay?"

The boy's face was flushed red, a thin yer of sweat covering his smooth forehead, his eyes hazy and unfocused. He clearly wasn't okay.

"We'll take you to the university infirmary," the girl said, swallowing hard. After all, his looks were on another level—far more beautiful than even the campus heartthrob everyone acknowledged. It was easy to let the imagination run wild: after this heroine-saving-the-beauty moment, maybe the boy would thank them by giving them his number? Or perhaps this encounter would lead to them dating…

College girls this age had strong desires and craved romantic love. Some had already started thinking about what to name their future kids with him.

Elias ughed inwardly, seeing their thoughts crystal clear.

But Giselle was right there. He didn't have time to py house with these girls. He shook his head, his voice soft and gentle. "It's okay, I can go by myself…"

No matter what, they had helped him, so Elias remained polite.

However, to the two girls, him saying something like that in this state only made him look even more fever-delirious. They exchanged a gnce, about to insist on taking him to the infirmary anyway, when their bodies suddenly jolted. They trembled lightly and turned their heads on instinct.

They saw a silver-haired girl walking toward them. She looked at Elias in front of them, her expression icy cold, and spoke with a voice that seemed to carry frost. "Let him go."
