Devise

  Chapter Thirteen: Devise

The following morning, Viktor realised that sitting and sulking was not really going to get anywhere. He needed to escape the rut of danger and crime. He had to devise a plan. But how? Realistically, what could he do? Tell the police? No, they wouldn’t believe him. He was on his own for this plan. The plan to save his friend and bring horrible consequences, and the hand of justice, on any who had wronged him. But to do this, he needed to know where Xavier was. He had no way to know. He decided on the idea that he should travel back to where Xavier transformed into the purple gas cloud, as there could be clues or a trace as to where he was. He could not perform this arduous task alone. He needed his accomplice. But he would have to break a few laws. He came to the conclusion that he couldn’t be a sycophant to the law forever.
