Chapter 57: Alchemist Green 5

"I think... there was some kind of accessory..." The thief leader squinted his eyes, as if he didn't pay much attention to details that weren't important to him.

"Think carefully," Green reminded him impatiently.

After a moment of deep thought—

"Oh! I remember now! That butler was wearing a very beautiful ring on his left hand! Yes, yes! I recognize the gemstone on it—it was a Haizum! Blue! Incredibly beautiful! Hehehe." The thief leader's eyes lit up as if he had just recalled something significant.

Haizum? Damn, that thing isn't cheap. What kind of status does one need for even their butler to afford a gemstone like that? Kenley carefully analyzed the clues—the white-bearded butler, his knowledge of the underworld, and the Haizum gemstone ring on his left hand.

Green raised an eyebrow."I didn't expect it to be that guy. Kid, you're in trouble."

"Trouble?" Kenley was slightly stunned. Did Green know something?

A seductive smile curled up at the corner of Green's lips as she leaned in close to Kenley's ear. In a breathy, teasing voice, she whispered,"My dear student, tell me where you learned your swordsmanship, and I'll tell you who's after your life. How about that?"

Hiss~! His ears tingled, and the temptation in her voice made Kenley's whole body shiver. He couldn't handle this—this woman was too damn alluring! If she pressed any closer, he'd completely lose control.

"I... I..." Kenley turned his head to the side, trying to put some distance between them.

"Hmm?" Green let out a soft hum, deliberately stretching out her voice as she pushed her body against Kenley's. Those full, soft mounds, like water balloons filled with elasticity, pressed against his arm. Feeling the warmth and softness against his skin, Kenley's thoughts started to wander.

  They're huge!

Cold sweat dripped down Kenley's forehead. These had to be at least an E-cup, right? How many men in real life could actually resist this?

Only those with a certain level of experience would truly understand the deadly power of a well-endowed woman. His mind suddenly drifted to his ex-girlfriend—if he hadn't been so young and naive back then, maybe they wouldn't have broken up. Her figure wasn't as exaggerated as Green's, but she was still dangerously attractive.

The warmth of Green's body radiated onto his skin, and a delicate, uniquely feminine fragrance filled his nose. Damn, his body was actually reacting? Kenley wasn't a pervert, but physiological responses were simply unavoidable.

"Professor Green, I'm self-taught... I-I don't have a teacher..." Kenley averted his gaze, doing his best not to look at her chest—because that was a weapon of mass destruction.

Kenley remained steadfast, never crossing the line. Otherwise, who knew what Green might do to him?

"Really?" Green finally straightened up, no longer pressing against him. As the warm, soft sensation left his arm, Kenley dared not indulge in it. Maintaining his composure was the top priority.

There was disbelief in Green's voice, but she didn't press further.

"What do you plan to do with this thief? Want to sell him to me?" Green cast a glance at the sleazy-looking thief leader, clearly unimpressed.

"Sell him to you?" Kenley exhaled in relief, adjusting his posture before asking.

"You're not going to let him live anyway, right? So why not sell him to me? My pet hasn't eaten in days... this guy should be a nice little treat." Green tapped her chin with a thoughtful expression.

Pet? Kenley felt a chill run down his spine. He knew exactly what she meant.

Green was a Level 60 Mage and Witch—a bona fide enchantress. In Marlen Imperial City, a place teeming with hidden powerhouses, almost every shop owner had some kind of extraordinary background.

For example, the owner of the Elven Inn wasn't just an ordinary innkeeper—he was a pure-blooded elf and one of the eyes and ears of the Elven Forest scattered across the world. Even though the Elven Forest had declared its seclusion, that didn't mean it had lost all means of gathering external information.

Thinking about how quickly Brook had managed to find Sylph—less than a week, in fact—it was highly likely that the Elven Inn played a significant role in that. Given Sylph's nature of wandering around, it was impossible for her not to draw attention.

Her pet... definitely wasn't some ordinary cat or dog...

"Alright, but I won't take any money. Consider this a gift for my esteemed professor." Kenley let go of his sword.

Green didn't refuse his offer, though Kenley could clearly sense that her opinion of him had changed.

System Notification: Secret Potion Witch Green's favorability towards you has increased by 20 points. Favorability Level: Friendly.

That's a big increase in favorability...

Do you know why the world of Aude Continent is so popular among players? In the game, not only could players marry each other, but they could also marry NPCs!

What's more, there was no limit to how many NPCs a player could marry! Aude Continent was incredibly immersive—its massive population ensured that, even with an influx of players, there were still plenty of characters to interact with.

Back then, players found it strange—this was an MMO, not a single-player game, so why did the developers dare to make such a bold design choice? It wasn't until later that players realized the developers' twisted sense of humor—or rather, their mischievous intentions.

If two or more players pursued the same NPC, a duel would be triggered!

Kenley still remembered how the Holy Maiden of the Church of Light had thousands of players vying for her attention every single day. At its peak, there were over 10,000 players confessing to her daily! Eventually, players started treating the pursuit of the Holy Maiden as a competitive event, with ranking boards and entire strategy guides dedicated to it.

Of course, Kenley wasn't interested in the Holy Maiden. As a professional player, his focus was solely on grinding levels and mastering class mechanics to win the world championship.

Naturally, he had neither the time nor the energy to engage in deep interactions with NPCs.

"If I remember correctly, the favorability system's max affection score is 200... 0 means stranger, 20 is friendly, 40 is... what was it again? Oh right,‘cordial.' I don't remember the rest, but 200 should be‘unwavering devotion.'" Kenley mentally recalled the favorability system.

Too bad he couldn't casually use the Identification skill on random strangers. But with Tia, that was a different story—he'd have to try it later to see how much favorability she had for him.
