Avryn Starbright grew up alone, alienated in a village who saw him as a sign of bad luck. He abhorred the stares of disapproval from his fellow villagers. The town guard took him in. It was there where he was taught true strength: the power to stand up to injustice. He was took in under the wings of its fair, compassionate captain, and a cruel, sadistic lieutenant. Their ways etched onto him, figuratively and, sometimes, literally. However, he knew his youthful time was running short, so he planned to leave.
